Well we are in. There are still a few things to sort out but the majority of the house is done and completed. Here are some shots from the outside now that the garden has been cleared of building material (mostly!).

52 weeks after the first foundation was excavated, the house is ready for us - and we are ready to move in. We still can't believe this is going to be our home!

It's all been a mad rush, but there is just too many things left to finish off, so we have put the move back until next Saturday, 10th. It should mean that everything will be completely finished rather than needing to have the various trades live with us for the next week. It also means it will be exactly 52 weeks after we started that we will be moving in. -
Finally after many weeks of waiting and trepidation, the staircase arrived today from Poland. It was worth waiting for! A real piece of craftsmenship. Kitchen is also nearly finished and the Master en-suite is taking shape. One week to go and it is starting to resemble the last 2 minutes of "Changing Rooms".

Anna paints her room a nice pink! Elsewhere, it seems like a lot to do in 2 weeks but I am sure we will be ready. Anna can always muck in with the painters if they get behind.
